At Ignite, we work harder to ensure that you are receiving safe and skilled operators at your site. Before Powered Industrial Truck or PIT operators are sent to your site their PIT skills are validated.
The validation begins with an OSHA-compliant classroom course that reminds operators of the importance of safety and the true power of a forklift. Our Safety Trainer, Scott Keenan, is a seasoned trainer and comes to Ignite with over 20 years of experience.
The classroom portion concludes with a written assessment to evaluate the operator’s understanding of PIT safety and best practices.
PIT operators then drive various pieces of equipment through our simulated warehouse environment complete with an obstacle course. Scott begins the safety evaluation from the moment the operator approaches the lift. Only safe and skilled operators receive a recertification score.
This validation allows for the Ignite team to know more about an associate’s PIT skills than a resume could ever tell us. This allows us to only send skillful and safe operators to your site. Safer operators have fewer accidents.
We have the ability to upskill and validate drivers at your site as well. This same process can be but in place for annual reevaluations and recertifications to achieve OSHA PIT training compliance.
